School Bus Policy

Bus Facility and Timings

  • The school provides a bus service to all students, with pickup and drop-off schedules and costs determined by the distance from the student’s residence.
  • Bus fees may be revised in accordance with rising fuel prices.
Pickup and Drop-Off

1. Students must arrive at the bus stop at least 10 minutes before their given pickup time.

2. After school, students should board the bus without delay; the bus will not wait more than five minutes.

Absences and Route Changes:

1. If a student cannot use the bus on a particular day or for a certain period, the school office must be informed in advance.

2. For unforeseen circumstances preventing a student from using the bus on a given day, the bus driver must be notified before the pickup time.

3. If a student needs to be sent home with another parent or guardian, a written note must be provided to the Office/Transport Coordinator or Class Teacher the previous day.

4. To use a different bus route, a written note from the parent/guardian is required.

Conduct on the Bus
  • Public Displays of Affection (PDA) are not allowed.
  • No bullying—verbal or physical—will be tolerated.
  • Students must not throw objects from the bus.
  • Students must not scream, abuse, or communicate with people outside the bus.
  • Students must remain seated in their assigned seats at all times.
  • Standing near the bus door during travel is prohibited.
  • Aerosol cans* must not be used on the bus.
  • Students must not damage the bus in any way.
  • The bus will not deviate from its planned route.
  • Consequences for Rule Violations
  • First Offense: The student will receive a warning.
  • Repeated Offenses*: The student will be suspended from using the bus service.

All Plato’s Academy staff, including bus chaperones, are authorized to monitor and enforce these rules.
